It is the end of the semester and my life has become a game show. Everywhere I turn, questions questions questions and people asking for money and trying to GIVE me money.
Before class the other day one student raised her hand and when I called on her she furrowed her brows and said she forgot.
I moved on and answered questions about this, that, the other and then something else.
She raises her hand again. I call on her again.
She furrows her brow. She forgot the question again.
More students ask this that and the other.
Class hasn't started, so the ones who just walked in are asking questions I've already answered.
No big deal. I keep answering, trying to win this quiz bowl.
She raises her hand again. I call on her again.
She furrows her brow then points at me and asks, "How did you get your jeans over your cast?"
I give her a satisfactory answer and she looks relieved.
We laugh, I call an end to the questions, and throw my class into the 1950s for an hour.
