Book #108: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
I skimmed the first few pages of this book and didn't feel hooked. Gardens, statues, people, parties. Awesome, but not particularly tasty.
I put the book down and graded essays and proposals and quizams and came back the next day ready to try again (and yes, I did ask a few people if this book was good and I did wait for their answers, but shh that's our secret).
I quickly finish the book then read another book (The Crucible) and now I'm ready to read another one (Still Alice) but then there is this. You know, THIS. The other part of the 100 book journey, the part where I write a book too.
So, here it is. Book #108: Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. My quick review.
This book stars the city of Savannah, Georgia.
Minor characters include people, buildings and dead people in and around Savannah, Georgia.
I'm glad I picked the book back up and I was hooked at the saucy insertion of "turn it over to Jesus" (bless their hearts!) and couldn't put it down from there. I can't imagine how this charming gem of a mystery has slipped past me all these years, and I'm thankful to the student who assigned the book.
