What I did for my service project is research and write a book about my dad’s journey to America. Where he had to leave all his family behind and escape the harsh aftermath of the Vietnam War. After creating this book I then published it on createspace.com. I did this project because of all the great stories my dad has told me throughout my life. I have always looked up to the man. He had to endure so much pain just so he could live a better life. He never gave up, giving one hundred percent of his effort. I believe that his story needs to be told. This project overall impacted me a lot. Showing that everyone can do whatever they want. They just have to believe in themselves.
