C: If you have never served anyone in your life, then you are missing out.

 For my service project, I chose to do the Victory box to Afghanistan round 2 so that I can help soldiers who are serving our country and been protecting us our whole lives. I did this by going to Publix and getting all the snacks that the soldiers requested. Some of these items included Trail mix, Goldfish, Beef jerky, and many more delicious snacks. I then went to the UPS store and mailed to box to Afghanistan which should be there by now. By doing this service project, it made me feel really good and accomplished. The feeling you get when you do something for someone is incredible not to mention I did it for our soldiers. Some core values that connect to this project include commitment, compassion, positivity, and patriotism. It shows commitment by all the of the students who committed themselves to go out of there way and spend money on goods for the soldiers.

We didn't have to do this but we did because of the commitment we have to our soldiers fighting for our lives. It also shows compassion by being a good human being and not thinking about ourselves all the time. We have a pretty good life out here and these soldiers and not having that good of a time out there. We should do everything we can to help them and make them feel at home. Another core value that it shows is positivity. If we are positive, then our soldiers will be positive. The positive effects that they will get by receiving our packages will not only make them feel better but also make them perform better. Positivity is one of the greatest things alive, If you are always positive and can bring positivity to a person, then it will help them in the short and long run. The last core value that was shown will be patriotism. The definition for patriotism is “the quality of being patriotic; vigorous support for one's country.” By showing patriotism, we show that we love our county and love the ones fighting for us. By supporting our soldiers, they will always support us back and do everything they can for us.
                                    

Back when I was little I would go with my grandma and feed the homeless and veterans. Also we would do this thing called meals on wheels. Meals on wheels includes picking up packages of food and bringing them to elders who cannot buy food on there own. As I would go from house to house, I realized that this will be me someday and I hope I will get help from other people also. If you have never served anyone in your life, then you are missing out. The feeling you get when you do favors for other people in need is the best feeling. The positive impact that i think will be given to these soldiers is incredible. Just by doing something this simple and effortless, it will bring them the most joy. When you are on duty and you haven't seen you family in months, it can be very heartbreaking for them. Things like this really can show them the real reason on why they are in Afganhistan and who they are doing it for. They are not just doing it for there family but they are doing it for everyone in the United States. If I can bring a smile to atlas one soldier then i did my job and accomplished the meaning of this service project. I chose this quote because the meaning of it is real. Someone may forget the name or when it happened, but they will never forget the feeling you gave them by doing a good deed. All that matters in life isn't just the materialistic things, its how you go about your day and make others feel. When you make someone remember the great feeling you gave them, then you did your job and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. In my opinion this was one of the best service projects i have done and it really made me think about all the things I have in life and how grateful i am for
